April Praises and Prayer

When faith ceases to pray, it ceases to live. Faith does the impossible because it brings God to undertake for us, and nothing is impossible with God. How great—without qualifications or limitation—is the power of faith.” E.M. Bounds

The power of praying in faith is HUGE and I am starting to see its effects. I could spend a page just focusing on all the answers to prayer and His faithfulness. I feel like Paul when he writes in Philippians 1:3-4 “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now.” I have been so touched by all of you and your excitement to be involved in this ministry! I know the Lord will use us, together, to further His kingdom. Please continue to pray in full faith!

PRAISES~
1.
This praise is for GORDIE WALDOCK! He doesn’t know I’m doing this…but he will shortly :). Gordie was supposed to go in for surgery today (Monday, April 7th) because the doctors were afraid that the stint that they had originally put in had failed. Instead they found that the stint hadn’t failed and they were able to put in another stint where there was 90% blockage. This was a wonderful answer to prayer! Continue to pray for his recovery! (God used this man to introduce me to TIMO in Sudan…plus…I would of snuck this praise in there even if he hadn’t :)
2.
I was informed that the airstrip in Napep is to be completed mid. April. This is a big answer to prayer as it was very problematic and the workers as well as TIMO leaders were not sure what the outcome would be. Once again God works against the Impossible!
3.
Last month I had you pray for me and time management and the Lord was so gracious. I think he gave me extra hours in a day! I have been able to accomplish all the things I need to as well as maintain the ministries I have been involved in and remain sane! God is so good and He has kept my heart calm. Thank you for your prayers!

PRAYER REQUESTS~
1.
Pray that the Lord would provide me with the money for my plane ticket this month. It is a bold request but I know He can do it!!
2. Pray that I would know when to tell my work and that they would see Christ in me
3.
Pray for my sister, Amanda. My sister and I are very close and it has been a blessing to watch her grow in her love for the Lord. Please pray that God would bring someone in her life who can continue to encourage her to be a godly woman.

Serving the Didinga in Southern Sudan, Africa

So here goes the beginning of a new Journey. A year ago I never would have imagined that God would be preparing me to live amongst the Didinga in Southern Sudan, Africa. I had prayed that God would reveal Himself to me and that I would be able to see Him move in mighty ways. I had hoped that He would send me to Africa, but I didn't know He was sending me to Sudan.

In October I will be leaving for 2 years to work with the Didinga. The Didinga have yet to hear the truth about Jesus Christ and His salvation. I will be living in Makiria in a coned topped hut with several other team members. Their will be a total of 11 who will be working together with our team leaders Deborah and David Miller. During this two year period we will be learning the Didinga language and building relationships. We will be accomplishing this through TIMO’s learning program. This curriculum will teach us different ways of ministry outreach and from there we will need to apply them practically. The goal is to help meet the Didinga’s physical as well as spiritual needs. We want to be used to build up a body of Didinga believers.
