March Praises and Prayer

Praises~
1. Many of you had been praying for Winny Lo, one of my team members from Hong Kong, who found out recently that she had a cyst in her brain. When she first told us she wasn’t sure if this would keep her from continuing with our team and the issue seemed very serious and possibly cancerous. I just got an email saying she is doing much better (no longer getting headaches ) and that her doctor believes as long as the cyst doesn’t cause anymore problems, she can still pursue going with us in October. PRAISE THE LORD!!
2. I just got back from my training with ReachGlobal and it was so encouraging. I am excited to be working with ReachGlobal and look forward to growing more and more through this experience.

Prayer Requests~
1. Pray that God would continue to move in the hearts of the Didinga. They know that we are coming down as a team and are excited to have us.
Continue to pray for Winny Lo and her complete healing.

2. Pray for me as I prepare to go. I have so much to do and I want to do it well. Pray that I would manage my time and take things one step at a time. This whole process can be daunting. Pray that I would have full faith and not stress.
3. Pray that the airstrip, that is supposed to be put into place by the time we arrive, would be able to be completed. Nagashot is the nearest landing spot to Napep which makes things very difficult as it is a 4 hour hike from the airstrip and Napep. This makes access a little bit challenging. Just recently the landowner, who was against the airstrip, gave the okay but his son threatened the workers working on the airstrip. Pray that God would protect those workers and that the airstrip would be finished.
4. Pray for those the Lord is calling to support me. That all the funds would come in and that Southern Sudan would be SMOTHERED in prayer :)

Serving the Didinga in Southern Sudan, Africa

So here goes the beginning of a new Journey. A year ago I never would have imagined that God would be preparing me to live amongst the Didinga in Southern Sudan, Africa. I had prayed that God would reveal Himself to me and that I would be able to see Him move in mighty ways. I had hoped that He would send me to Africa, but I didn't know He was sending me to Sudan.

In October I will be leaving for 2 years to work with the Didinga. The Didinga have yet to hear the truth about Jesus Christ and His salvation. I will be living in Makiria in a coned topped hut with several other team members. Their will be a total of 11 who will be working together with our team leaders Deborah and David Miller. During this two year period we will be learning the Didinga language and building relationships. We will be accomplishing this through TIMO’s learning program. This curriculum will teach us different ways of ministry outreach and from there we will need to apply them practically. The goal is to help meet the Didinga’s physical as well as spiritual needs. We want to be used to build up a body of Didinga believers.
