May Praises and Prayer

This has been a great month of prayer for me. I have been studying prayer in the Faith Women bible study and trying to stay fervent in praying. This month the Lord has really been showing me the importance of desiring prayer. E.M. Bounds writes:

“Desire is not merely a simple wish; it is a deep seated craving; an intense longing, for attainment. In the realm of spiritual affairs, it is an important adjunct to prayer. So important is it, that one might say, almost, that desire is an absolute essential of prayer.”

I want to pray as David did in Psalms, crying out to God. Please be praying that we as a body of believers would pray with such passion. Because when we do, we will be overwhelmed with God’s glory.

PRAISES~
1. I asked for prayer for my plane ticket to Sudan and I got enough money for my plane ticket there and back!! Wow…I was left speechless this month by God’s faithfulness and the sacrificial giving of so many of you. Thank you!
2. I received an email this week from my Team leaders, David and Deborah, and their church has given them a satellite. This will make emailing better and was a huge generous gift from our brothers and sisters. Praise God!!
3. I found out my two roommates will be Deborah and Winny Lo. This is such an answer to prayer because those are the two ladies I have had the most contact with and I look forward to ministering and living along side them.

PRAYER REQUESTS~
This month the Lord has placed Sudan and the spiritual warfare that has been occurring on my heart. The following prayer requests are for those through out Sudan, saved and unsaved.

1.
Pray for our brothers and sisters who are being persecuted and suffering for Christ. That God would give them strength and comfort.
2. Pray for the Islamic government leaders, that they would hear the saving message of Jesus Christ and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
3. Pray for the Christian refugees who have been displaced who are now going back to share Christ with their family and friends. Pray for strength and that God would use these men and women and children to spread His name all over Sudan.
4. Lastly, pray that God would continue to use the missionaries that are currently serving there to build up the church of Christ. That they would not grow weary but endure till the end.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Eph. 6:12

Serving the Didinga in Southern Sudan, Africa

So here goes the beginning of a new Journey. A year ago I never would have imagined that God would be preparing me to live amongst the Didinga in Southern Sudan, Africa. I had prayed that God would reveal Himself to me and that I would be able to see Him move in mighty ways. I had hoped that He would send me to Africa, but I didn't know He was sending me to Sudan.

In October I will be leaving for 2 years to work with the Didinga. The Didinga have yet to hear the truth about Jesus Christ and His salvation. I will be living in Makiria in a coned topped hut with several other team members. Their will be a total of 11 who will be working together with our team leaders Deborah and David Miller. During this two year period we will be learning the Didinga language and building relationships. We will be accomplishing this through TIMO’s learning program. This curriculum will teach us different ways of ministry outreach and from there we will need to apply them practically. The goal is to help meet the Didinga’s physical as well as spiritual needs. We want to be used to build up a body of Didinga believers.
